#Metball2014

From Beauty School appointments, job interviews and umming and arring about whether to go to Uni or not - the past two days have been a right mare!

Not only have the days been HECTIC pleasantly busy, today was also one of those days where nothing went right everything I did posed a new challenge. For instance - trying to wrap a dress I sold on eBay turned into a punch-up between the cellotape and I and the dog decided my foot was a chew toy when I was mid-email to a London University. I totally lost my cool.

So instead of pondering on my life goals and where this is all going to take me in five years' time - I'm going to post up the best and worst dressed from last night's dreeeamy Metball hosted by Queen Fash herself - Anna Wintour (although her own choice of gown left the world baffed...)

BUT no-one really cared what Anna was wearing because these 5 sirens stole the spotlight from last night's Metgala Red Carpet:

Top 5 BEST Dressed

5) Kendall Jenner
Yes, she may have looked like a rabbit caught in headlights most of the night (albeit a deliciously beautiful rabbit) but her custom Topshop gown perfectly showcased that model bod of hers.

4) Dita Von Teese
Jaw-dropping old-Hollywood glamour is Dita's thing - and my don't she know it! She wore a Zac Posen gown and carried a Roger Vivier clutch.

3) Arizona Muse
This is how you do Princess-Chic (Katie Holmes take note please...) The model wore a Ralph & Russo gown and quite literally glided down the red carpet.

2) Lily Donaldson
I love a bow. Especially an elegant, draping Burberry bow.

1) Rihanna
Don't kill me for using a Yoncé lyric to describe Rihanna's outfit but please... Bow Down Bitches!
The Stella McCartney two-piece ensemble was just classy enough to do the diva right - add a choker, a flash of tat and make it tight enough to ensure a protruding nipple ring and voilĂ ! RiRi has arrived!

Top 3 Near Misses

These three almost nailed it! Elizabeth Olsen (left) wore such a pretty dress and perfected her beauty game but unfortunately colour-clashed with the shoes - sad times. Maybe next year babes. Margot Robbie's bespoke Prada dress was an inch or four too long which is a crying shame as it really is stunning - and, last but not least, Janelle Monae in Tadashi Shoji and Jimmy Choo. Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE Janelle's look - but, honey-bee, this is the Metgala - this ain't no leggings and poncho kinda do.

And the three that should have stayed at home...

Sometimes it doesn't matter who you're wearing - as proved by these disgusting yet designer-dripping eye sores!
We all know Rita Ora and Katie Holmes love a bit of attention so we can sort of just brush them aside for a moment but Kristen Stewart and Maggie Gyllenhaal? I can't cope...This is what I imagined happened:

Being very busy, globe-trotting actresses (snooze, snooze) they left it to their stylists to chose something last minute. Seeing as the impending Metball was coming up nothing much was left. They were told, "Don't worry I've got a Valentino/Chanel from the A/W 2014 Collection and it is fabulous darling." They were lied to. It was too late. They should have stayed at HOME.

Who was your fave and who was your freak?

Ibiza Countdown: 30 Days! Progress Report...

So it's 30 days until the big popping of my Ibiza cherry and I still have an abnormally long list of things to achieve before I go!

I've been working out A LOT since I booked the holiday about 2 months ago and have started to see the first signs of results! YAY! My stomach is flatter and actually toning and even my arms are looking leaner, too! This is all thanks to YouTube and the huge abundance of workout vids available to do in your own home. This is my daily routine:

1) Tiffany Rothe's Hot Body Warm-Up Routine - CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO
2) Tiffany Rothe's Bikini Abs Workout - CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO
3) Daily Butt Workout (Free App for iPhones and iPads) - CLICK HERE TO FIND
4) 3 Minute Bun & Thigh Wave Workout - CLICK HERE TO FIND
5) 50 Prisoner Squats (or 15 more minutes on Bun & Thigh Wave) - CLICK TO SEE
6) 1 Minute Plank - CLICK TO SEE

And that's it! That's my daily workout routine - it takes no more than half an hour/ 40 minutes and I also walk the dog twice a day for about 20 minutes! I have so much more energy it's all very lovely! :)

I had my first McDonald's this weekend, too! Chicken Selects meal - and I made it a large as I was feeling rather deprived. I'm on a diet but if I ever feel like I'm craving something like crazy I just go ahead and eat it - 95% of the time I'm really enjoying my healthy eating!

My favourite meals include blueberries and natural yoghurt with either mango coulis or honey for breakfast, Ainsley Harriott cup soups for lunch (with 2 or 3 crackers) and anything homemade by my Mum for dinner! Key healthy snacks that I've discovered are the Strawberry Nougat bars by Shapers which you can get from Boots or bags of Snack-a-Jacks - especially in the Caramel flavour!

Other than the diet and workout situation I've also been finding loads of amazing new clothes for holiday! Scouring the net in lust I've found eBay to be a godsend for affordable bits!
I picked up this Batman dungaree dress for £9 (HighStreetLook2013), this bandeau crop top for £3 (diamondclothing786) and this purple skirt for £5 (girlsattractions)!

Another wonderful fashion find I came across last night was The Holiday Boutique! Having been obsessed with Tulisa and her birthday visit to Ibiza last week I was T H R I L L E D to find the actual shop in which her holiday wardrobe had come from...and you will not believe the bargain prices!

All that's left to do is the tan, the mani, the pedi, the shoes, the make-up...etc, etc!

Kardashian Beauty Finally In The UK!

I feel a familiar tinge of excitement to the one I got when the Kardashian Kollection launched in Dorothy Perkins last year! The sad truth is that for us UK Kardashian fans the time delay of everything from the TV shows to the Beauty launch is really starting to get to us...and just when you think you're going to take the plunge and pay £50 for shipping costs, the UK catches up again!

Feel Unique are an online beauty and cosmetics retailer which stock everything from DIOR to Essie - and now Kardashian Beauty.

Of course, I feel it fit to produce a Lust List! Here it is:

The three K sisters have been tweeting about their faves too:

"I'm all about the 5 minute make-up routine - my @kbeautyofficial Double Up shadow stick is a necessity" - Kourtney

"I'm rocking my fav red lip today, Joystick in Retro Red" - Khloe

"Oh oh oh Au Naturel! Love my @kbeautyofficial nude lip color" - Khloe

"Nude nails always a DO #cabanacollection" - Khloe

"Get the look by accentuating your lashes with this Kardashian Beauty Whip Lash Mascara. And for the perfect red lip, go with Kardashian Beauty's En-joy Stick in the Rose Parade color" - Kim

What are you going to be getting?!

Barry M's Miracle Wink Liner!

It's not often that I come across a product that I'm absolutely fanatical about but Barry M has done the dam thing this time!!

The Barry M Wink Marker Pen is my best beauty buy since I discovered Lauren's Way fake tan last April, and here is why:

Designed to look and work like your everyday Sharpie, this eyeliner practically swipes up to 20 minutes off my daily beauty routine. As a massive fan of smoky, statement eyes (as seen all over the Chanel shows this season) the Wink Marker Pen practically eliminates the effort needed when applying liquid eyeliner.

Previously, my search for a decent liquid eyeliner took me far and wide and, surprisingly, ended up with me settling on the Claire's Accessories Liquid Eyeliner. The brush is very thin which although makes application accurate, it still didn't stop the inevitable lid-run and end-of-day panda eyes.

The Wink Marker Pen is not only quick and easy to use, clean AND accurate, it stays on all day: Yesterday was windy and rainy outside then hot and muggy inside, for example, I was also tired so probably rubbed my eyes subconsciously throughout work, too, BUT it was still in place smudge and crack-free when I got home from work at 1.30am!

This is all well and good but what tips it over to become the Miracle Marker is the price - it costs less than a fiver and lasts for ages! How can all of this be?!

If there was ever an excuse to go out and purchase something pretty then I'm sure 'spending an extra 20 minutes in bed and still looking fabu every morning' is perfect!

The Barry M Wink Marker Pen is only £4.59 on the official Barry M site - CLICK HERE TO BUY!

Back To Barbie!

Call me crazy but I've gone backwards! Don't get me wrong it's fun to be all quirky and trendy but I've been chanelling my inner Barbie with my latest beauty choices with a full head of blonde highlights and baby pink nails!

Having spent 4 hours in the beauty salon on Tuesday I came out revived and ready for yet another style change. Keeping up with the street-chic grunge looks can be quite depressing and, truth be told, I was hoping the baggy beanies and slouchy sneakers would be left in the Winter months along with the snow and fluffy socks.

Anyhow, I chose OPI's Pink Friday for my main colour then OPI's Pussy Galore for that cheeky nail that everyone decides to mix up:

So, who was in my Nail Look Book this month? A very eclectic mix, I can tell you! From Katie Price to Blake Lively I'm loving everyone and anyone blonde and pink at the moment:

It's not just me gettin' my Barb on, either, as it seems the colour pink is making the fashion rounds at the moment - even HRH The Queen rocked up to the Races in a pastel pink ensemble:

Barbie never looked so good!

Ibiza 2013 - Beauty, Health & Fitness Countdown!

It's official! Ibiza 2013 is booked and the to-do list is in full swing...

It's time I got started with STAGE 1:
Early Preparation

1) The Bun & Thigh Wave Machine is set up in my living room with the accompanying DVD ready to be learnt off-by-heart!
I figured any product with THIS lady on the front which also promises results in just two weeks is definitely worth a try before forking out £50+ a month on the gym! At only £80 from Argos this is a long-term STEAL!

2) Getting into shape and getting the perf Ibiza body will take more than a few minutes on the Bun and Thigh Wave! I know this! So I'm also participating in the almost impossible 30-Day Squat Challenge AND investing in the ECI Cellulite Treatment! It's not cheating if Kim K gets away with it!! All this as well as the sit-up challenge, skipping rope and mad power walks with the pooch should see me tone up in no time!

3) Eating right is the most important part of the Ibiza countdown challenge! I'm aiming to eat between 1200 and 1500 calories per day - obviously a little more if I'm working out hard. That would be cutting up to 600 calories a day - as well as cutting fatty, unwanted meals like McDonalds and Burger King! It's salad and soup from this moment onwards!

4) So I'm getting my diet, cellulite and flab sorted. What about health and beauty?! Well, let's start with my skin:
I hereby solemnly swear that I will cleanse, tone and moisturise every night after removing every scarp of make-up from my face!
Amen...

Do any of you fellow bloggers know any pimple remedies??!! I'd really love to start trying out some new lotions and potions to try and clear this blotchy skin of mine!?

5) And finally...
Ibiza fashion!

WATCH THIS SPACE...I'm pretty sure that the second the 'Project Ibiza' Collection lands at Missguided I will be posting a MASSIVE shopping haul and showing off my new summer wardrobe staples!

Where are you going this summer?!
What are your STAGE 1 plans?!

Check out this very blog in July to check out STAGE 2:
The Progress Report!

Calvin Klein Lipstick - #24 'Peony'

My quest to wear bolder lip shades begins with Calvin Klein #24! A wonderfully cheap eBay bargain at £1.49 (!) I thought this would be a great place to start...

Takes a couple of swipes of the lips to get a decent coverage but once it's on the colour is a perfect balance between not too bright and not too light.
I was hoping that opting for Calvin Klein would mean that it would last longer than those I could get for the same low price in the shops - probably Natural Collection or Collection 2000.
Unfortunately, I still got that annoying blotchy matte effect that everyone hates after about 30-40 minutes of wear! Not ideal!
But it does the job and has given me newfound confidence to go find some more colours and try some new lipsticks which is always fun and totally necessary!
;-)

Let's see who else is rockin' the kinky pink lip right now and get a quick fix of inspo...

Jessica Biel at the Dior Cruise Fashion Show on 1st June - [Daily Mail]
Jessica Alba at the 2013 Producers Guild Awards - [Hello!]
Tulisa at the NTAs this year - [Daily Mail]
Leigh-Ann Pinnock at last year's Jingle Bell Ball - [Capital FM]

What are the hottest colours right now? And who's the best brand for sustainable lippy??
Let an amateur know - it's payday Friday!

Catch Up & DISCOUNTS! Come Join Me x

Oh hey there! I've been a little bit too absent recently and for that, I apologise my dears! Not only have I been working ridiculously hard, I am newly single and learning to live a happy little life, just me and Princess (my little 2-year-old Bichon Frise)! I'm going to publish this newfound life on this blog and hope you come along with me for wherever I'm headed. Should be quite a laugh so stick around?!

Anyway, where do I start? I celebrated my birthday on Friday night with 10 very fine specimens of the human species. Together we consumed a ridiculous amount of alcohol and partied at Cameo nightclub in Watford, Hertfordshire. Whoever Kelly is who works at Cameo, I owe her a 'Thanks'! Getting a flyer in the post wishing me a 'Happy Birthday' and free drinks and entry for my whole party, it got the night off to a very smooth start! So, thanks Cameo Kelly!

I would LOVE to share a picture of my outfit however not one of the mug shots make the cut! My party look right now is totally all about crop tops and pencil skirts! Thanks to my hourglass/pear figure my wide hips and smaller waist work so well with this trend! On Friday my crop top was a lacy, denim, Forever 21 bustier crop which I teamed with an ASOS black sport-luxe pencil skirt! Sambuca comes in handy when it is freezing outside, too!

These are my top 3 crops and pencil skirts available online NOW:

1) Crop It Like It's Hot from ASOS - £7.50 (Hellloooo sale item!!)

I've been having a look at what's going on in the beauty bibles, too! An extreeeemely generous friend of mine gave me the gift of Chanel for my birthday which means reviews on their gorgeous mascara and eyeshadow palettes at some point in the next week...hold tight for these! It will be my first ever dabble with designer make-up and I'm hoping it's worth the hype!
One MASSIVE trend I adore right now is the need for C O L O U R!!

I'm currently OBSESSED with this lot from the Kinga Sektas Boutique:

California Sugarbird Earrings / Love Necklace / Cindy Earrings

I currently have permission to offer EVERYTHING on the Kinga Sektas website at a discounted offer so if you LOVE these comment below or tweet me @sheldan2207...
I own ALL of the three pieces above and, let me tell you, they are AMAZING...people always comment on them and ask where I got them from. Not only that they are all so summery and on trend right now!
The earrings can be yours for £31.99 per pair and the necklace is just £3 for a limited time only!!!
If you want these or anything else on the site, come at me for the discounts!
I'll be doing my top 3 offers throughout the weeks for this boutique - whilst the offer's on we may as well use it, eh?!

So we've discussed clothes, life, beauty and jewellery...welcome back to the wannabe glam life of ME! Stop by tomorrow, I will be discussing unpredictable weather and how to dress up the forecasts!

Jessica Ennis' Stunning Wedding Glamour

Showcasing chic and understated glamour, Jessica Ennis married her childhood sweetheart on Saturday 18th May in the picture-perfect Derbyshire countryside.

The 27-year-old Olympic gold-medallist tied the knot to Andy Hill wearing an ivory sleeveless gown complete with a ruffle tulle skirt and exceptionally classic hair and make-up.

Having been together for over eight years, the couple chose the charming village of Hathersage in Derbyshire where members of the public burst into applause as they caught a glimpse of the bride and groom.

Choosing such a classy look suits Jess down to the ground! Proving that less can be so much more, everything about the bride is pulled off with utter perfection; to the point where I had to stop and stare at the photos for a good few moments: From the French mani to her trademark statement brows every simple detail is professionally polished.

Wearing her winning smile as her most dazzling accessory, Jess looked like the happiest girl in the world on Saturday! Congrats to the happy couple!

Natural Nails

After disgracefully taking off ALL of my acrylics over the weekend in true unladylike style I decided to get a fresh full set all nice and natural!

THIS is my new look:

I love the pale, creamy look that I've got! Perfect for pretty much most outfits - I'll never clash with my nails! The polish is from Misa Nail Lacquer in Snow White.

This is my mini lookbook/ inspirations for the new mani:

I love the way a natural mani can look classy and stylish even when you're trying to dress up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to wear my embellished turquoise underwear as outerwear like Blake, or match my nails with my 1,000,000,000 carat rings, but the pearly finish dresses up my fingers quite delicately!

Kendall & Kylie for PacSun

Today, Kendall and Kylie Jenner follow in their Kardashian sisters' footsteps by releasing their own clothing line in US store PacSun.

Although somewhat uninspiring for the most part, there are 4 big summer buys amongst the line:

1) The Halter One Piece is the most perfect piece for the upcoming festival season; it's different, colourful and sexy and can be teamed with leggings, shorts or jeans.

2) How long, on average, do you think us ladies take to select a bikini for our upcoming holidays?! Well look no further because the K&K Metallic Cage Bikini is everything your bikini fantasies desire!

3) Maxis are a summer staple and this printed skirt is to die for: Sheer, patterned and made for wedges this is sassy summer comfort.

4) Retro is in with the swingin' sixties taking over the high street. K&K have hit the nail on the head with these round sunnies which appear to be the ideal size (I always find round glasses to be too small which is why I love these oversized versions!).

Of course, most of you are reading in the UK but have no fear! The link below gives the prices in GBP and shipping to the UK is charged at one flat rate of £19.95 (Express Delivery) or £10.95 (4-7 Working Days).

Happy Shopping!

OOTD - I Dared to BARE!!!!

Today I went for delicate little daisy look - bare face, wispy hair and mega floaty skirt teamed with the tiniest, tightest vest top I could find!
The skirt is from TKMaxx, belt from H&M, Vest from Forever 21, pendant from Disney Couture and wedges from a million years ago...I can't even remember!

Never mind the outfit I can't believe I dared to bare the face!! Haven't gone out bare since I was little!!! Of course I've been wearing the hell out of those Missguided sunnies I got last week! How are you wearing in the summer?!

This was my mini lookbook for the day: What a mix of randoms in there!

Thrifty Thursday - Bare-Faced Bravery

For those of us on a tight budget, Spring's latest beauty trend is a god-send in disguise!

Bare-faced beauty is the trend to be rockin' right now and although the last time this look was 'in' it was a total fake (I had to wear layers and layers of dewy foundation) this time round things have changed...

Versace S/S13

Alexander McQueen S/S13

Rick Owens S/S13

Very simply, the easiest way to be bang on trend every single day.
Quick beauty formula:
Concealer + Tinted Moisturiser + Powder
=
Naturally Nude

I've literally sorted this look for under £5, too!

3ml Mini Calvin Klein Infinite Hydration Foundation in Soft Beige (which I got for £1.40 on eBay!),
&

You can leave your eyebrows as natural as you please and there's no need for mascara!
If you're feeling too naked for the day why not put two of Spring's biggest trends together and add a neon lip?!

Missoni S/S13

Giles S/S13

What's your Spring look?
